LOVE. It seems to be fraught with difficulties. Despite the Hollywood ideal of the ‘perfect match’ and ‘happily ever after,’ for many, heartache, conflict and emotional pain are an all-too-common feature of relationship life.
WITH SO MUCH unintended suffering arising from something that is meant to the source of happiness (our relationships with others), it is vital that we get to the heart of where our problems really lie.
AT THIS PRACTICAL and inspiring half-day course, Buddhist Teacher Diana Waterhouse will explain how to overcome our relationship woes by learning how to differentiate between love, desire and attachment within our own mind.
WHEREAS love is the foundation of all harmonious relationships, attachment is the source of all the sorrow, unhappiness and discontent that we experience.
BY LEARNING how to abandon the mind of desirous attachment, and replacing it instead with a pure mind of love, all our problems with others will eventually be solved. We will overcome the jealousy, anger and friction we feel towards others. Ultimately we will come to know from our own experience the deep joy and happiness that real love, free from attachment brings.
