Overcoming Craving & Attachment
Sat 8 Jul | 10am – 1pm  |  Launceston

WE’VE ALL BEEN THERE. Rummaging in the pantry, even though we were just there 10 minutes ago. The ill-advised text to an ex, or eating mouthful after mouthful of potato chips even though we’ve had enough already.

AFTERWARDS, HOW DO YOU FEEL? Completely satisfied and peaceful – or angry at yourself for giving in (again)? Or do you just want more?

WE’VE GOT A SECRET FOR YOU: Sugar isn’t the problem. Neither are cigarettes, alcohol, or people. The problem is the mind of craving itself. This uncontrolled desire causes us so much unhappiness, anxiety, relationship difficulties and addiction problems. It’s the root of all our suffering.

AT THIS HALF-DAY COURSE, Buddhist Teacher Diana Waterhouse will explain the ins-and-outs of the minds of craving, attachment and uncontrolled desire, and how to overcome them. Learn how to fill the gap inside your heart by finding real satisfaction and inner peace inside you. By finding this inner contentment, our objects of craving will no longer have the power to disturb our peaceful mind, or control our behaviour, and we will finally enjoy real mental freedom.
