The Art of Acceptance
Sun 20 Mar | 10am – 1pm  |  Ulverstone

THE ART OF ACCEPTANCE is much more than just gritting our teeth and putting up with things. It is a powerful state of mind that enables us to be at peace with situations, no matter how bad those situations may be. The opposite of acceptance is to be in conflict with life, to feel miserable when things go wrong, and to experience a state of mind that is uncomfortable, unpeaceful and in pain.

BUDDHA explained that in life it is not possible to avoid all external difficulties, but it is certainly possible to avoid the anger and upset that these situations normally provoke in us.

AT THIS HALF-DAY COURSE, Buddhist Teacher Diana Waterhouse will explain how to improve the quality of our everyday experience by reducing and eventually overcoming the minds of non-acceptance, anger and resentment. By letting go of these self-limiting states of mind we will discover how to live a genuinely happy life and liberate ourself from many of the debilitating and unhappy thought processes that have governed our life thus far.
