The Peace of Letting Go
Sat 28 May | 10am – 1pm  |  Hobart

LETTING GO. It’s easy to say but hard to do. Yet if we can learn to let go: of painful emotions, of bad experiences from the past, of self-critical minds, of self-limiting views, of everything that’s holding us back. If we can do this, then limitless peace and freedom awaits us on the other side.

TO LEARN TO LET GO we must learn how to stop holding on. To stop holding on we need to understand what we are holding on to. According to Buddhism, it is the the thoughts we have in response to life’s inevitable difficulties that are the real source of our mental pain. Instead of grabbing on to these thoughts so tightly, ruminating on them and allowing them to rule our life, we must learn a different way of dealing with them: we must learn the art of letting go.

AT THIS HALF-DAY meditation course, Buddhist Teacher Diana Waterhouse will explain how to get inside the mind that can’t let go, won’t let go, doesn’t want to let go. By using special methods drawn from Buddha’s teachings we can learn how to abandon this unhappy mental habit pattern and liberate ourself from a lot of unnecessary suffering. Discover the peace of letting go and enjoy lasting happiness and mental freedom.
