Stop Worrying, Start Living | Sundays May 15 & 22 3-4pm
Do you feel like your mind is a constant stream of worry and stress, and no matter how hard you try you always feel bothered about something? If you do you are not alone.
Worry is a common response to things we have little or no control over. Although we may not be able to stop all unwanted things happening to us, it is possible to stop the worry, anxiety and distress that these situations normally provoke in us. It is these habitual reactions to situations rather than the situations themselves that disturbs our peace of mind, clouds our judgement and interferes with our decision-making processes.
At our next series of weekly meditation classes, Buddhist Teacher Diana Waterhouse will explain how to escape the cycle of worry that dominates our life and occupies a huge amount of our mental space. Diana will break down the thought processes that lead to worry and show us how to stop the mind that worries about anything, everything and nothing at all. By improving the quality of our mental experience we will prevent the mind that “finds” things to worry about and eventually we will be able to overcome worry once and for all.
