Say Goodbye to Worry, Anxiety & Stress | Tuesdays 7-8.15pm | Nov 15, 22 & 29

Worry, anxiety and stress. We know these feelings all too well. We all know they cause immense suffering in our life. So why do we naturally follow these negative and unhelpful patterns of thought? According to Buddhism, one of the main reasons is because we lack the methods to reduce and eventually overcome these painful states of mind.

To overcome anxiety, worry and stress, it is essential that we understand clearly how these states of mind operate. Next, we need to know what to when they crop up in daily life. Finally, we need the confidence that we can overcome these habits of mind even though they are very familiar and may have been influencing our life for a very long period of time.

At this series of drop-in meditation classes, Buddhist Teacher Diana Waterhouse will share a plethora of practical tools drawn from Buddhist teachings that will enable us to effectively combat stress, anxiety and worry. Diana will give an introduction to meditation and explain how meditation can help us to quell anxious, turbulent and disturbed thought processes. Learn how to restore your mind to peace and see how it is possible to make worry, anxiety and stress a thing of the past.

The Teacher of this course is Diana Waterhouse, the Resident Teacher of Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Tasmania. With over 17 years’ experience in meditation, Diana explains Buddha’s teachings with warmth and clarity, showing how we can easily integrate them into our daily life to make our life more happy, peaceful and meaningful.
